Role Overview:
As our Marketing Communications Specialist, you’ll shape how Kay-Twelve tells its story—highlighting our Radically Student Centered™ Approach through projects, partnerships, and impact. This role is perfect for those who love to blend creativity with purpose and are driven by excellence in behind-the-scenes work.
Key Responsibilities:
- LSI and Radically Student Centered™ Approach Support
- Maintain and update sales enablement materials.
- Support project work portfolio development and storytelling efforts.
- Capture and convey student, educator, and community voices through various media.
- Content Creation and Brand Ambassador Duties
- Write, edit, and optimize content for blogs, newsletters, and social media.
- Coordinate campaigns across multiple channels, including the Better Learning Podcast.
- Collaborate with internal staff and school leaders to create research-informed thought leadership content.
- Public Relations and Media Relations
- Draft and pitch press releases.
- Manage media campaigns highlighting project outcomes and award submissions.
- Event and Conference Support
- Coordinate logistics for conferences and industry events.
- Support live initiatives for the Better Learning Podcast.
- Coordinate logistics for school tours, showcases, workshops, etc.
- Email Marketing and Nurture Programs
- Draft, schedule, and monitor newsletters and campaigns.
- Track engagement metrics to optimize messaging.
- Brand and Messaging Alignment
- Ensure all communications align with our brand voice and identity.
- Thought Leadership and Content Initiatives
- Coordinate with teams for podcasts, webinars, and research-driven content.
- Support webinars, professional development sessions, panel discussions, and research-driven storytelling.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 2-6 years in marketing communications, content creation, or email marketing.
- Skills: Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with great attention to detail.
- Tools: Experience with CRM, email marketing, or automation tools.
- Collaboration: Comfort working across teams with a blend of consistency and independence.
- Education Passion: Motivation to contribute to learner-centered educational improvements.
Preferred:
- Background in K-12 education or related mission-driven organizations.
- Experience in public relations or media outreach within the education sector.
- Skills in photography and videography.
