Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager at Kay-Twelve, you are the primary owner of the client journey, from the initial vision (Collaboration Stage) through the Design Stage to the final realized environment (Implementation Stage). You will not merely track projects; you will orchestrate outcomes across stakeholders, disciplines, and timelines. This role is a perfect fit for a self-starter who thrives on converting pedagogy and design intent into spaces that function operationally, financially, and educationally as promised.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Orchestration: Act as the central point of coordination and accountability, ensuring the creative vision is translated into practical execution.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest technical quality.
- Stakeholder Facilitation: Communicate efficiently and effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, LSI staff, consultants, and jurisdictional agencies.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure all executed spaces meet local building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Financial Stewardship: Utilize financial acumen for rigorous budget and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Problem Solving: Use the freedom to think “outside the box” to adapt to changing circumstances and solve complex project challenges.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or greater in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Experience: 7-10+ years of proven experience managing complex projects in Educational Planning, Architecture, Construction, or Learning Environment Design.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and project management platforms.
- Core Competencies: Strong understanding of architectural processes, time management, risk management, and stakeholder management.
Preferred:
- Certifications: Licensed Professional, PMP, ALEP (Accredited Learning Environments Planner), or EdSpaces ECLPS/Eclipse certification.
Software: Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Photoshop.
