We are looking for a Finance Leader to own and integrate this foundation—ensuring Kay-Twelve operates with clarity, discipline, and scalability as we expand our reach and impact.

  • Operator & Systems Builder: You don’t just manage finance—you build the infrastructure behind it. You create systems, processes, and teams that scale. You naturally see how finance, HR, and systems connect. You eliminate silos and create integrated, decision-enabling infrastructure.
  • People & Performance Integrator: You understand that people strategy and financial performance are deeply connected. You align workforce planning, structure, and accountability to business outcomes. You build and lead high-performing teams, developing talent and creating a finance function that partners effectively across the organization.
  • AI-Enabled Operator: You are an AI power user who leverages tools and automation to improve speed, accuracy, and insight across finance and operations.

 

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Finance Leader to design, lead, and continuously improve the financial and operational infrastructure that powers how Kay-Twelve operates.

This role goes far beyond traditional finance. You will be responsible for integrating financial strategy, people operations, and systems architecture into a cohesive operating model that enables the company to scale with clarity and discipline.

You will partner closely with the leadership team to translate company vision into financial strategy, workforce alignment, and operational execution.

This role owns:

  • Financial strategy and performance visibility
  • Capital planning, cash flow, and risk management
  • Finance team leadership and infrastructure
  • Oversight and alignment of HR/Admin and IT/Systems functions

While this role ensures strong day-to-day financial operations, the primary focus is strategic: building the foundation that allows Kay-Twelve to grow efficiently, make better decisions, and operate at a higher level.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Decision EnablementOwn the company’s financial strategy in direct service of growth, scalability, and long-term enterprise value.

  • Translate vision into financial clarity and actionable plans
  • Surface tradeoffs and guide high-quality decision-making
  • Partner with CEO and leadership team to protect momentum and margin
  • Ensure financial thinking is embedded in every major decision

 

2. Capital Strategy, Cash Flow & Financial Risk Management – Own capitalization strategy, liquidity planning, and financial risk oversight.

  • Lead cash flow planning and working capital optimization
  • Ensure the business is properly funded for growth
  • Anticipate risks through scenario planning and modeling
  • Implement strategies that preserve liquidity, stability, and optionality

 

3. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Insight – Own forward-looking financial models and performance visibility across the business.

  • Design and maintain driver-based forecasts and financial models
  • Establish operating rhythms that make performance drivers visible
  • Deliver clear insight into trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Enable leaders to course-correct quickly based on real data

 

4. Financial Infrastructure, Controls & Team Leadership – Build and lead a high-performing finance function that ensures accuracy, discipline, and scalability.

  • Own accounting, close, reporting, and compliance
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data
  • Lead A/R, A/P, and broader finance team performance
  • Build a high-performing finance team that partners across the organization
  • Establish controls and processes that support disciplined execution at scale

 

5. Integrated Business Operations (Finance, People & Systems) – Own the integration of finance with HR and IT to create a unified, scalable operating system.

  • Lead and align HR and IT strategy owners under a cohesive operating model
  • Ensure people strategy aligns with financial performance and capacity planning
  • Oversee systems architecture across finance, HR, and operations
  • Eliminate silos to create one connected, decision-enabling infrastructure
  • Drive operational alignment between people, process, and performance

 

Requirements

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead, manage, and hold teams accountable.
  • Deep understanding of financial strategy, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk mitigation.
  • Proven experience partnering with executive leadership teams.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and a bias toward thoughtful action.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience leading finance in a growth-stage or mission-driven organization.
  • Background in building or scaling finance teams and systems.
  • Familiarity with long sales cycles, project-based revenue, or complex operating environments.
  • Experience supporting capital strategy, lending relationships, or board-level reporting.

Pay: $150,000 - $175,000 a year
